Triad Tool, founded by William P. Wichelhaus and owned continuously by the Wichelhaus family since 1933 (4th generation currently in place), is a vertically integrated contract manufacturer specializing in close tolerance CNC precision machining. Triad performs most effectively in the manufacture of complex prismatic shaped parts, i.e., housings (hog-outs, castings and forgings). These configurations of parts are well suited for our 4 and 5 axis machining centers, and through the utilization of our FMS cells, small to medium mixed batches of parts can be simultaneously processed in an unmanned, lights-out environment. Included within Triad's technically contemporary equipment is our CNC Turning Department; WEDM (5 axis machines with auto-thread, essential for 24/7 capability); Abrasive Water Jet; and an extensive Tool room, which supports our sophisticated fixture and tooling requirements. CMM's up to 48"x100" travels with fully programmable heads and auto-tip changing feature, complement our machining capabilities. Triad's true strength is our high quality standards and our production capacity, while still maintaining the agility of a smaller company. This is achieved through a team of creative and dedicated people! Our machine shop utilizes state-of-the-art CNC (computer numerically controlled) machining technology to reduce your cost and lead-time for machined parts. Triad offers machining and contract manufacturing services including 4-Axis CNC milling, wire EDM (electrical discharge machining), turning, grinding, tooling and fixtures. For single source manufacturing you can rely on Triad to provide Build-to-Print assembly of your equipment and custom machinery for factory automation. Our experienced machinists and inspectors produce your parts according to Triad's Quality Assurance System AS9100 Rev B.
