History

The House of Photographic Art is a unique venue with a singular mission of introducing the fine art of photography to Orange County, joining San Diego and Los Angeles counties as a major West Coast reservoir of important photography of the 20th & 21st centuries.HOPA aims to raise local awareness of the breadth of photographic styles while building a wider appreciation for photography as a highly collectible fine art medium. In addition to the art gallery, HOPA will present larger exhibitions and events at the historic Forster Mansion. HOPA will display exceptional artwork in an intimate residential setting, offering viewers the opportunity to enjoy the images in the collection at a leisurely pace, discovering new treasures around every corner. The engaging images in the HOPA collection will seek to evoke beauty and honest emotion from each viewer.Our aim is to delight the senses, to please the eyes, challenge the mind, and touch the heart with images captured through the camera's lens.
