Originally founded in Tibet in the mid-1400s by the Buddhist mystic Je Tsong Kapa, Gaden Shartse Monastery has faced significant challenges since the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1950, leading to the destruction of much of its rich heritage. The foundation hosts the Sacred Earth and Healing Arts of Tibet Tour, featuring Tibetan Buddhist monks who offer healing sessions, teachings, and cultural performances, including sacred music and dance.
