Feaster-Edison Charter Elementary School, located in Chula Vista, Calif., offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades kindergarten through six. More than 1,000 students are enrolled in the school in three academies that include kindergarten, primary and elementary. The students are organized into houses of 120 to 150 in each academy. The students remain with the same house throughout their academy experience. The school incorporates art, music and physical fitness that are taught by specialty teachers. The students spend roughly two-thirds of their time learning within their houses. The remainder of the day, they work with other students and teachers in the academy. The students also have access to computers in each classroom. Feaster-Edison Charter Elementary School is affiliated with the Chula Vista Elementary School District.
