The restaurant is located in a strip mall. We had a little trouble locating it because the DA part of the name is on the little chef character and not with the rest of the title of the restaurant...

I saw all the 5 star reviews and looked at the menu. The Coachella/ Pass area has zero great American Chinese restaurants, ( most all are Thai) When I walked in the air smelled of spicy curry....

A little better quality goes a long way in this type of food. Da Chef has a wide range of ingredients that go well with an American palette.

First and last time we would give this place our business. Greasy and tasteless food. Noodles and chicken dishes - all bland. BBQ Pork was decent.
