The Vista Fire Department provides public safety and fire protection services. Services include fire fighting, rescue, hazardous materials incident responses and emergency medical services with emergency transport. Additional services include fire personnel training and community disaster preparedness. Fire prevention activities include inspection, code compliance, community protection planning, public education for fire survival and abatement of weed hazards. The mission of the department is to minimize deaths, injuries and property loss by taking all feasible action to prevent fires and, if they occur, to extinguish them promptly, and to provide advanced life support and emergency medical transportation for the community.
