Established in 1982, the Valley Center Fire Protection District is responsible for the protection of lives and properties in Valley Center in California. The district serves a population of more than 23,000 and protects an area of over 84 square miles. It responds to nearly 1,300 calls per year. The Valley Center Fire Protection District offers fire protection, emergency medical and firefighting services. It also provides hazardous material response and advanced life support solutions, as well as maintains fire stations. The district offers animal evacuation services during fires and other emergencies. The Valley Center Fire Protection District provides ambulance transportation solutions through Mercy Medical Transportation.
