History

Child Empowerment International (CEI) has worked since 1998 to create bright futures for marginalized children in regions of civil unrest. We are an education-based non-profit organization, currently providing education for over 6,800 underprivileged children and orphans in Sri Lanka and Uganda. At our two Leadership Academies in Sri Lanka, we care for and provide leadership development in an environment of stability and healing for children vulnerable to or rescued from sexual exploitation, poverty and child soldier abduction.
