HistoryAs a child growing up in Southern California, Denise loved to use old things to create something new and beautiful. While studying German literature in college, she stumbled upon environmental design courses that opened her eyes and changed her world. She moved to Europe and fell in love with its classic gardens, its architecture, its art and fashion--finding inspiration in all of it. When she came home, she started a small wedding and floral business out of her garage in Santa Barbara. Denise moved to the Bay Area in 2000 and delighted in its cosmopolitan influence and new opportunities. There's nothing formulaic about what Denise does. Funky. Traditional. Eclectic. Refined. Whatever is found in nature, whatever has been forgotten at flea markets and thrift shops, whatever her clients can possibly imagine and desire--Denise takes the unexpected and makes it beautiful.SpecialtiesDenise Irwin is a garden, floral and event designer in the San Francisco Bay Area, with more than twenty years of experience in the design industry. She offers floral and event design for large and small events, interior plant and landscape design for residential and commercial properties, and holiday decor, incorporating award-winning sustainable and green practices into all services. From design to installation to maintenance, she draws on her years of horticultural and design expertise to make a sterile room feel inviting, accentuate the architecture of an historic building, or create a garden in your living room to bring the natural beauty of the outside indoors.
