History

Under new ownership (Mike Schechter) since March of 2014. The shop started in Ventura on Main St. in 1988, and moved to Thousand Oaks in 2003, under the guidance of founder and original owner, Mike Dahan. Chris Emch took over in 2007, continuing the tradition of excellence in instruction and maintenance Mike established. Established in 1988, Channel Islands Scuba is Ventura County's premier dive store. We offer lessons, repair/service, travel, equipment sales and the most knowledgable staff in the diving industry. We specialize in regulator repairs, completed in our in-store state-of-the-art repair facility. Our standard turnaround time is two weeks. Our instructors have more than 80 years combined experience teaching and keeping our students safe. With 26 years in the business, we still have a PERFECT safety record. We also have an in-shop Dive Club to keep you diving year round. At Channel Islands Scuba, we believe that diving isn't just a hobby, it's a way of life.
