Established in 1980, Area 1 Agency in Aging develops and provides a wide range of volunteer and caregiver services in Humboldt and Del Norte counties. The A1AA works to find funding sources for the senior community through grants and fundraising. Agency staff provides information at support groups, health fairs, professional organizations and other community groups. Its support programs include need assessment, planning, legislative review and technical assistance. The Agency s registered dietitian offers support and education for nutrition programs.
