Blue Photonics Inc. produces gallium nitride (GaN) compound semiconductors used in electronic and opto-electronic applications. Based in Walnut, Calif., its primary offerings include GaN substrates, GaN opto-electronics and GaN electronics are used in blue laser diodes (LDs), high-power transistors, high-efficiency blue and green light emitting diodes (LEDs) and solar-blind photo-detectors, to name a few. Its semiconductors are also used in GaN-based devices which are emerging as the front-runner for the future wireless communication. Blue Photonics Inc. operates a facility measuring more than 10,000 square feet. It houses 4,000-square-foot clean room and a state-of-the-art crystal growth systems and characterization equipment.
