I paid a deposit and then opted not to proceed with treatment, and let the practice know in advance of my appointment. They told me I would receive a full refund in 30 days .... never received....

Have moved around the Bay few times and tried dentist's that are local, but I would drive 1.5hrs easy to make sure I can get here. All reasons: price, flexibility, fairness, care, expertise, etc
