This park is super family friendly and lots of space and parking area! I love that the playground is gated for the kiddos!

Backesto Park, located in the heart of San Jose's Northside Neighborhood, is a historic green space that has served the community for over 75 years. Named after physician John Pierre Backesto, the park officially opened in 1922 after a significant donation from his widow, Anne Backesto.
Renovated in the early 1980s with the help of the Northside Neighborhood Association, Backesto Park features a range of facilities including a modern playground, sports courts, and a stunning fountain adorned with ceramic tiles from renowned tile maker Solon Schemmel. The park remains a community hub, hosting events and a free annual tennis camp for local children.
