App Family Daycare

History

App family daycare began in the home of Timothy and Norma App over20 years ago. Norma's passion for children and childcare where invigorated with a full house and three wonderful children. Norma and Tim together provided childcare services for hundreds of children over two decades on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Providing not only drop-in care but also long term resident's reliable childcare services. The caring and well nurtured environment gives parents a piece of mind. Norma was diagnosed with breast cancer and became a local icon of the Truckee/Tahoe area while she battled breast cancer. This never hurt her passion for children and only helped her push to beat her cancer diagnosis. Unfortunately, Norma succumbed to the disease in 2011. Following the tradition of the family for years, her husband Timothy opened his doors in memorial of her fight for cancer. Today he operates a fully licensed daycare in his home where he enjoys his daily interaction with what he calls
