Specialties
Dr. Krumm provides counseling and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) using the innovative methods of Dr. David Burns called TEAM Therapy. She believes that counseling is best used to receive support and learn the skills needed to manage various life challenges. Counseling is goal-directed, active, and is intended to be short-term. She offers two types of individual counseling: 1.) 50- Minute Sessions. - These sessions occur at intervals determined with the client. Homework is assigned, at each session, to supplement the work done in session. 2.) Intensive Counseling Sessions- These are longer sessions (2-6 hours at a time) intended to promote rapid skill building and symptom relief. Many persons from out of town will find this approach appealing. Common presenting concerns include: - Anxiety, including phobias, generalized worries, social struggles, and panic attacks - Depression, sadness, or low self-worth - Relationship concerns, conflict, break-ups - Shyness, flirting training, and social skills - Eating concerns and body image - Exploration of sexual and gender identity - Exploration of cultural conflict or transitions among cultures She is not currently available to work with couples, families, or persons under the age of 17.
