The Asheville Independent Restaurant Association (AIR) is a 501C-6 organization dedicated to supporting the independent restaurant community in Asheville, NC. With a focus on education, training, advocacy, and member collaboration, AIR strives to promote the local food scene by offering delicious, locally-sourced, and award-winning cuisine. Founded in 2003 by four local restaurant chef owners, AIR has grown to become the largest organization of its kind in the U.S. With over 150 members and a 13-member board, AIR aims to create a culture of collaboration and stewardship within the industry.
