My philosophy is to be extremely respectful to my patients, thoroughly assess their situation and to optimize their care whether it be surgical or nonsurgical. I am constantly keeping up with the literature and attending meetings to hone my skills and always am super-prepared for surgical cases. When not caring for patients, Dr. Sokolow enjoys spending time with family, bicycling and racquetball.

My goal for my patients is restoration to normal function in the most practical manner; conservative measures when possible. Dr. Philip Johnson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon focusing on the repair of bone and joint injuries to upper and lower extremities as well as reconstructive surgery to diseases of bone and joint of all extremities. He is also now performing MAKO Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery. Learn more about the innovative robotic system.
