Jeanette Duan, MD

Watching my grandfather struggle with Alzheimer's is one of the reasons I decided to go into the field of neurology. I think the brain is a really complex organ, and I enjoy the challenge of continually learning about it. As a neurologist, I try to establish a relationship with my patients before treating them. I like to talk to them about what's going on in their lives first and go from there.

Patients trust us to help them get better, and I work tirelessly to maintain their trust. I try my best to listen to my patients and hear with intention what they're trying to convey. When patients see that I'm honest and trying to get answers for them, it helps establish a relationship and build upon it.

I grew up here, and I had a dream of helping my community through the practice of medicine. I am constantly thinking not only of my patients' current medical issues, but also about what could develop so we can focus on prevention and better quality of life.
