Gastons White River Resort is a fishing resort in rural Arkansas. Al Gaston bought a very small resort on the White River in Arkansas shortly after construction of the dam was complete in 1958. The Gaston family has run it ever since. The resort supplies its guests with firewood and bags of kindling to help start the fire. Guests might need fire starters or newspaper, which is available for purchase at the front office. Gastons White River Resort does not mail out a printed newsletter anymore, but interested parties can view the newsletter at the resort s Web site. The resort s restaurant is open throughout the year, although during the winter months of late November to mid-February, the restaurant is only open from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. The rest of the year, the restaurant is open from 6:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. mid February to April, then until 10 p.m. every night until November.

This is a classic restaurant on the river. The food is good and the portions are ample considering you also get a trip to the salad boat with your entree. Service is very friendly.
