Crater of Diamonds State Park is one of the world s only diamond producing mines that is open to the public. The park is operated and managed by the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism. We drove 2 hours from Little Rock unprepared, not knowing what to expect. I decided to leave at 6 am as the other reviews mention, it's hot in Arkansas- especially in a dirt field with no shade....

Cool experience! Definitely wear shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting muddy. This activity does require some mobility.

Here it was, I made a difficult decision to drop everything I was doing in life and make the arduous journey to Murfreesboro, Arkansas. Why would anyone want to visit Murfreesboro, AR??? One word...
