Fire Department
The Greenville Fire Department operates under the government of the city of Greenville, Miss., and provides fire protection and emergency medical response services to residents. The department employs firefighters and volunteers, as well as operates several fire stations. It also provides training and educational programs for general safety, emergency response and life saving techniques. The Greenville Fire Department provides fire and life safety services by conducting community-based safety programs in schools, day care centers, nursing homes and various civic organizations. The department participates in several fundraising events for the American Heart Association and the Cancer Society. It maintains accurate archival and computer records of fire inspections and investigations along with investigative equipment and supplies.
