First Baptist Church, located in Jonesboro, Ark., and founded in 1852, offers Bible study and worship services for children and adults, and organizes and performs wedding ceremonies for community members. It also invites its members to support the Southern Baptist Convention, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Arkansas Baptist State Convention and the Mt. Zion Baptist Association. First Baptist Church offers various ministries, such as education, administration, music and special ministries. The church also offers university students, youth, childhood education, Hispanic, care center and Huntington ministries. It also offers a variety of worship and prayer meetings, such as contemporary worship, classic worship, El Encuentro, celebrate recovery and breakaway.
