Western International University (WIU) was a regionally accredited institution headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, operating from 1978 until its closure in February 2019. The university ceased enrolling new students in March 2017 and implemented a teach-out plan to allow current students the opportunity to graduate or transfer to other institutions.

Following its closure, the University of Phoenix became the custodian of official student records for WIU, partnering with Parchment Inc. to facilitate access to student transcripts.
