My approach to care is collaborative and I believe in empowering patients to be their own best advocates. I work with my patients to find a treatment plan that address their individual needs and values, while incorporating evidence based medicine.

Dr. Cornelius focuses on a holistic approach to care, integrating mental health and medical health together in order to appreciate the role each has in improving the overall well-being of a person. He explores a person's strengths and successes in order to apply them to future challenges. In addition to general mental health issues he is a psychiatric consultant to persons with liver and kidney disease and assists in evaluating both organ donors and organ recipients before and after transplantation surgery.
