Sarah Eve Nicholas, MD

One of the most rewarding things about my job is that we can improve my patient’s quality of life while improving their symptoms. My goal is to give my patients the opportunity to spend more time with their family with symptom management and a support system to help patients live as actively as possible until death. Addressing suffering involves taking care of issues beyond physical symptoms and helping their families who are facing problems associated with life-threatening illness. It prevents and relieves suffering through the early identification, correct assessment and treatment of pain and other problems, whether physical, psychosocial or spiritual. I hope to be a source of peace and hope for my patients in this very difficult time of their lives.

I treat each patient with compassion and respect. I value a holistic approach to cancer care. I work with a team of nurses, social workers, geneticists, psychologists, symptom management specialists, surgeons in providing comprehensive and cutting-edge cancer care to all my patients.

A trusting relationship is the foundation of my practice. I enjoy developing a relationship with cancer patients and their families. I have celebrated important milestones with patients and I have cried with patient when they receive bad news. I want patients (and their family members) to update on patient's symptoms and how patient is doing at home. My goal is to manage patient's symptoms and improve their quality life as much as possible.
