Issam Mazen Awwad, MD

As an internal medicine and pediatrics trained physician caring for patients through the entirety of their life is something I am honored to do. I consider the patient physician relationship the most important part of patient care and building relationships with patients and their families is something I deeply value. I am committed to providing outstanding patient care and believe that an extremely important component of this is to consider and treat the whole person and not just their disease process.

I strive to provide individualized, compassionate care to all of my patients and their families through evidence based-practice and innovative medicine. I believe that one of my major roles as a general and trauma surgeon in addition to being a critical care physician is to help guide patients through their health care transitions and provide support to their loved ones. My hope is to help patients and families understand and overcome whatever disease process they are facing.
