Independence High School

Independence High School, established in 1977, offers education to students in grades nine through 12. It is affiliated with Glendale Union High School District and has an enrollment of more than 1,600 students. The school s curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language and physical education. It also provides courses in applied technology, family and consumer science, business studies, language arts and special education. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include band, choir, journalism, photography and visual and performing arts. The school has various clubs, including junior and senior class committees, knowledge bowl and mathematics and science clubs. Independence High School also provides career-counseling services to students and is located in Glendale, Ariz.
