Ocotillo Elementary School serves more than 370 students in kindergarten. The school provides sports activities, such as soccer, basketball and cross country. It also offers student programs that include band and orchestra. Ocotillo Elementary School provides after-school care services to its students. In addition, the school has a parent-teacher organization that encourages parental involvement in children s education. The school operates a student council that includes leadership development and character building skills. Ocotillo Elementary School is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. The school maintains a presence in Tucson, Ariz. It is a part of the Sunnyside Unified School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.

The International Indian Treaty Council (IITC) is an organization of Indigenous Peoples from North, Central, South America, the Caribbean and the Pacific working for the Sovereignty & Self Determination of Indigenous Peoples & the recognition & protection of Indigenous Rights, Treaties, Traditional Cultures & Sacred Lands. The IITC supports Indigenous Peoples' struggles for human & Treaty rights, through information dissemination, coalition building, advocacy, training and technical assistance.
