History

I've been playing in bands, touring, recording, collaborating and writing since 1992, and still play around the Phoenix area fairly often. I started teaching lessons in my home studio in 2010. I look forward to teaching more individuals who are looking to learn from my experiences.

Specialties

I teach drum lessons to people of ALL ages and skill levels. I'm well versed in pop, rock, punk, jazz, hip hop, and funk. I have two drum kits set up facing each other, so my student can watch me while he or she is playing. In my experience, this is the best way for students to learn. I really enjoy teaching from my experience not only as a player, but also collaborating on songwriting as well as song arrangement.

I took lessons with Chad Martin and he's by far the best drum teacher I've had (I've had two other instructors). He has a laid back teaching style, but he doesn't let you slack. Chad is personable...
