Central Arizona Detention Center
The Central Arizona Detention Center is a component of Corrections Corporation of America, which specializes in the design, construction and management of prisons, jails and detention facilities. The organization provides inmate residential and prisoner transportation services through its Transcor America subsidiary in partnership with the government. It is one of the largest corrections systems in the United States with a total bed capacity of more than 80,000 in nearly 70 facilities in 20-plus states. CCA manages in excess of 75,000 offenders that include males, females and juveniles at all security levels and does business with all federal corrections agencies and more than 12 local municipalities. The company offers a variety of rehabilitation and educational programs, such as basic education, life skills and employment training and substance abuse treatment. It also provides health care, food services, and work and recreational programs. Established in 1983, Corrections Corporation of America employs more than 17,000 professionals and is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn.
