Patient centered care. Respect for patients' values and preferences are key. Care focuses on physical comfort as well as emotional well-being. Family is also encouraged to join visits. I strive to develop a relationship with the patient and family/care partner in order to achieve the most optimal level of care.

Inspired by experience as an individual with Tourette syndrome, I have dedicated my career to improving quality of life and treatment options for people with movement disorders. I utilize a team approach to care involving physical therapy, speech therapy, social work and other important services. Most importantly, I involve my patient and their caregiver in decisions about their care. In order to identify more effective and better tolerated therapies, I frequently involve my patients directly in clinical trials conducted at our Institute.

I focus on being highly accessible and responsive for each of my patients.
