Northland Services is a marine transportation company that was founded in 1977. Since its inception, the company has handled more than 750,000 tons of cargo though a network of over 115 facilities in Seattle. Its vessels sail throughout Alaska and Hawaii to offer contract barge and cargo stevedoring services. Northland Services provides chartered cargo hauling solutions for delivery locations in Russia and Japan. It offers containerized freight, less-than-container-load transportation and freight consolidation services for its customers, Crowley Maritime Corporation, Alaska Railbelt Marine and Bowhead Transport Company. The company also provides freeze and chill container service, as well as shipment tracking options for clients. Additionally, it ships mining equipment, bulk hazardous materials, fishing boats, premanufactured housing structures and oil field modules.
