Alaska Medical Response

Alaska Professional Volunteers, established in 1981, is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency medical standby services for the community in Anchorage, Alaska. It comprises of new and experienced doctors, nurses, first aid providers, emergency trauma technicians, and emergency medical technicians certified by the state of Alaska. The organization maintains professional standards and operates with a strict set of bylaws, standing orders and protocols that are equivalent to or higher than the standards required for the specific level of training. Its members are required to maintain certifications for all the services it provides. Alaska Professional Volunteers also assists in mass disaster and natural calamitiess.
