Dr. Randy "Chad" May, OD, was raised in Winfield, Alabama, where he currently resides. Dr. May graduated from University of Alabama in 1995 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and later graduated from University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry in 1999. Dr. May has over 20 years of experience providing expert eye care in Alabama. Dr. May specializes in comprehensive eye exams and eye care. His personal interests include Church, spending time with his wife and 2 children, playing golf, traveling, and loves sports - particularly following college basketball and football.

With a legacy dating back to 1925, the doctors at Florence Ophthalmology provide medical and surgical eye care to the Shoals and surrounding communities of Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. We provide screening exams, testing, diagnosis, and treatment of a large variety of eye conditions (injuries, infections, illnesses) involving any part of the eye and visual system. Dr. Jasmine Spencer, OD, grew up in Louisiana and Alabama before earning her degree cum laude from the University of North Alabama in 2016. She graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2020 and completed a residency in ocular disease and primary care at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center in 2021. Dr. Spencer provides comprehensive eye exams with special interests in dry eye treatment and myopia management. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and pets, reading, trying new restaurants, and traveling with loved ones.
