History

Shew Towing & Recovery was formed in 2008 by Tim McDowell, a retired Birmingham firefighter. After years of coming to the aid of people in crisis as a firefighter, it was a natural transition for Tim to create Shew Towing & Recovery and continue in a profession that helps people in emergency situations. Tim started the business with one rollback wrecker, responding quickly (like firemen do) when called. Now the company has three rollback wreckers and one wheel-lift truck, and Tim and his team still respond as quickly as ever and try to provide friendly, professional service to distressed drivers. They understand how stressful a breakdown or accident can be. Tim's goal for the company is to help as many people as he can with fast, cost-effective assistance for as long as he can
