The Decatur Parks and Recreation Department organizes various recreational and leisure activities. The department operates a historic site museum, softball complex, tennis and community centers, and outdoor and indoor swimming pools. It also includes more than 20 parks comprised of over 500 acres of land. In addition, the department operates and maintains the Decatur City Cemetery.
