Located in Wetumpka, Ala., The Alabama Parent Education Center is a nonprofit organized by parents in central Alabama. The facility provides parents with training and information to help them with their children's education. It also assists low-income and minority Alabama families and those with children with disabilities to make productive well-educated citizens. Alabama Parent Education Center has worked on a range of projects, such as the Alabama Parent Training & Information Network for Children with Disabilities (AL PTI NCD) and the Alabama Statewide Parent Information and Resource Center (ALPIRC).
