At our Vestavia, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Bland bland bland. Okra was a 99¢ up charge and barely fried/bland. Fish? Bland. Chicken tenders are usually pretty good so no complaints. Fries? Bland and cold. $14 to only enjoy chicken tenders...

Prepare to wait a very long time and to be treated incredibly rudely by staff who want nothing to do with you. I've never been treated so poorly in my life

If you ever came around dinnertime, the line at this Captain D's would be crazy. I'm pretty satisfied with this location otherwise. My orders come out correct and their parking lot isn't dirty...

I love eating at this location. This time I got some rude service. Disappointed that captain D's has started using almost all flour in their stuffed crabs and a thick layer of flour on the fish....
