Kaliningrad Museum of Fine Arts

The Kaliningrad Regional Museum of Fine Arts is one of the newest and dynamically developing museums of Russia. At the present time it is the only universal museum of national and foreign art, without which successful self-presenting of the Kaliningrad region in European and cultural context and travel industry is impossible. The museum is situated in the old building of The Konigsberg Stock Exchange (a sample of architecture of the 19th century) constructed upon the project of the significant German architect H. Muller in 1875. The museum’s collection includes the works of official and alternative art of the Russian artists of the 1950s-1990s, contemporary graphics of artists from Russia and the Baltic region, artworks of the Kaliningrad artists, glass art and studio pottery of Russia, created in the 1960s-1990s, Russian contemporary handicrafts, works of visual art of East Prussia.
