In 2021, Aa-Gård installed 9 disc golf holes on its property to help extend the range of outdoor activities for the local community of Lavangen during those lonely, confined pandemic days. It started as a test to see the interest about this relatively new sport in the area. The feedback was quickly very enthusiastic that we extended it with the help of pro players, to a standart 18 holes competitive course the very next year! Our tees are in concrete with the holes being DISCatcher Pro (original) Targets. A map of the whole course can be find at the start of the course, and each tee will have its own detailed map for better performance. Bathrooms and drinking water are available on site during ‘regular work hours’. At Aa-Gård we are quite the animal lovers, so feel free to bring with you your dog friend. However, it is important to know that part of the course is located in a sheep pasture. Most of the summer the sheep are free roaming higher in the mountains or contained in Winter, across the road in their barn. There are a few weeks in late May/early June and mid Semptember/mid October that disc golfers will have to share the course with our herd of 150 sheep. At those times there will be a couple of gates to open and (absolutely!) close behind you. We apologise in advance for the dungs in the pasture (there’s nothing we can do about it!), so please bring some good hiking shoes! Our sheep are generally naturally shy, but some are fully domesticated so feel free to give (without being scared), a good butt scratch those coming to you. The entree is free, but voluntary donations are encouraged to help with course maintenance and improvement. Suggested minimum donation of 50 Norwegian Krone per day or 500,- NOK for the year. The course is registered on UDisc for you to save and compare your scores and performances! Start of the course : by Cabin #7 Parking : at Aa Gard Restaurant
