Landgoed Wilgenheerd

The comfortable rooms at Estate Wilgenheerd are located on the ground floor and have a private terrace. Wilgenheerd is beautifully situated on the canal near Wehe-den Hoorn and does justice to its name: the area is planted with many impressive ancient willows. The farm is partly enclosed by a small forest, while you have beautiful and extensive views of the Groningen countryside. Wilgenheerd is an excellent base for visiting the Lauwersmeer National Park, the World Heritage Waddensea, the seal sanctuary in Pieterburen or the city of Groningen. The Hogeland of Groningen has many authentic villages with beautiful churches built high and dry on the mounds. We can organize (electric) bicycles for rent, or you can rent our boat to explore the area by the many canals that cut through the landscape.
