Located in the absolute city centre of Amsterdam, at one of the main canals, Prinsengracht, around the corner from the Rijksmuseum, the Van Goghmuseum, shopping area Leidse Straat and nightlife area Leidse Plein, stands this impressive monument (built around 1850 and renovated in 2009) in which the owner lives himself and rents out two spacious guestrooms, each with a private bathroom and a mezzanine where the bed is at. The two rooms are situated on the top floor in an ancient canal house which was completely renovated in 2008/2009. Both rooms have a beautiful view; from the canal view-room one looks on the water of the canal and the historical buildings across the street; from the roof terrace-room one looks at the towers of the Rijksmuseum with its impressive art collection of Dutch painters. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom; the canalview room has a small kitchen and a comfortable bathtub and the roof terrace room has a walk-in shower. Both rooms have a double bed sofa so are ideal for a small family or a group of friends.
