Southeast Friesland, in the north of the Netherlands, is known for its forests. Zandhuizen is centrally located in relation to two big forests: National Park Drents-Friese Wold and National Park Oranjewoud. The forest behind the B & B is ideal for walks and also has riding trails. The B & B is a located a long way from the street and that gives an oasis of peace. The horses and chickens color the silence of nature with their sounds. Here you can enjoy natural tranquility. And the crowds, the excitement? You can find them within 30 to 40 minutes in Leeuwarden, Assen or Groningen. Here you will find 3 rooms with 2 1-person beds (lits jumeaux) each. The rooms can be rented separately or together. The rooms have a seat and TV. There is shared use of the bathroom with shower and toilet. There is also a mini fridge. You can get coffee and tea (free of charge) in the communal breakfast room.
