The Baths were brought to light in 1939, during the works for the construction of the "Mostra d'Oltremare". The state of conservation of the building can be defined as good, though, with the exception of the survival of the mosaic decorations of some floors, almost all the architectural and ornamental elements have disappeared. The site is handled by the Neapolitan Archaeological Group

The archaeological complex of the Terme di Agnano includes the ancient structures of the Hellenistic era, dating back to the third century BC.C. and the third level of the Roman structures dating back to the second century of .C. It is a currently active thermal site that since ancient times has been exploited for its therapeutic properties. The opening and maintenance of the archaeological site are managed by the Neapolitan Archaeological Group
