The Oldest Café in Old Leigh and indeed Essex ,the one with most Colourful history going back century's the building has been used for many purposes , Including a lock-up for Drunken sailors and Pirates . Many family's have lived their over the century's and it has many ghosts , one of the most famous being Captain Lyle Ford who is said to stand watch at the window awaiting the return of his son who was lost at sea . The strand has an Estuary view from all windows and where you can sit and relax while enjoying the 'Best Full English Breakfast' and Full Roast Dinner on Sunday in Essex it is told !
