Gallery in the Mill

Fine art gallery set in historic smelting mill, run by owner and artist Carol Davison. Carol exhibits her own portrait and still life paintings, many of which feature people and artefacts from India, Tibet and her native Northumberland. Carol also exclusively exhibits the work of watercolour artist Paul Stangroom, renowned for his landscape and windows series. The windows paintings reveal views from abandoned buildings. Carol selects scarves, vintage and contemporary jewellery and imported Indian artefacts to complement the art works. She regularly shows other artists’ work too and, occasionally, local history exhibitions. The gallery is housed in the stable block of the historical mill, beside the river Allen, and in an area of outstanding beauty.
