Appledore Sails - Private Day Charters

Come boating - no experience is necessary. We offer private sailing or sightseeing by motor trips around the beautiful Torridge Taw estuary - a UNESCO biosphere and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in a traditional locally built lug sail boat (2 or 3 hours, up to 4 adults or 5 people if at least 2 are young children). You have the whole boat to yourselves with a skipper and we make each trip a unique experience. Join in with sailing and crewing the boat. Even young children can take the tiller. We can suit all levels of age and experience with optional training included within the cost. Safety equipment and life jackets are supplied. Both Jez-y-Belle and the skipper are fully licenced. This is a beautiful way to spend a summer morning, afternoon or evening, pottering up the Torridge to Bideford Quay, passing Instow, or up the Taw sailing past Crow Point.
