Aldeburgh Museum

Aldeburgh Museum is housed in the iconic Moot Hall, one of the UK's most important timber-framed public buildings. Dating from the early 16th Century & still used by the Town Council. Aldeburgh's history packs a punch and the museum tells the varied history of Aldeburgh from Anglo-Saxon to today. Come and visit us to learn about our witches, smuggling, shipbuilding and famous and notable people associated with this seaside town.
