Market Cross Place Moot Hall
Aldeburgh, England IP15 5DS
Aldeburgh Museum is housed in the iconic Moot Hall, one of the UK's most important timber-framed public buildings. Dating from the early 16th Century & still used by the Town Council. Aldeburgh's history packs a punch and the museum tells the varied history of Aldeburgh from Anglo-Saxon to today. Come and visit us to learn about our witches, smuggling, shipbuilding and famous and notable people associated with this seaside town. If you want to know more about Aldeburgh's fascinating past, check out out the museum shop where you can purchase booklets such as our self-guided walking tours book and for children, the smugglers walk. Great fun and a fab and enjoyable way to spend a few hours.
