Upton Dene is a stunning new flagship care home positioned in a residential area alongside the Countess of Chester Hospital in Cheshire. Three-miles outside the centre of Chester, our new care home is a short drive from all the shops, cafés, pubs, library and other attractions the city has to offer. Our dedicated team provide a range of care and support for residents, including residential care, dementia care, nursing care, palliative care and respite care.
As we mark Remembrance Sunday, we're proud to celebrate the incredible veterans who are part of our homes and we wanted to share a spotlight on Upton Dene Residential and Nursing Home community in Chester. Recently awarded Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) status, the home has been recognised for its commitment to supporting the wellbeing of the armed forces community - including 99-year-old Tom Parker, who served in the Royal Corps of Signals (RCS) between 1944 and 1947. From attending remembrance events at the cathedral to hosting afternoon teas with local veterans, Tom and his fellow residents are at the heart of a vibrant, supportive community. These experiences, along with partnerships with local charities and other Sanctuary Care homes, are helping veterans stay connected and celebrated.
